The Department of Insect Science organized a tree plantation campaign in the Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni campus today under the one month-long Forest Festival campaign. Department of insect science organized a plantation drive, in which Prof. Chancellor. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel was the chief guest. Dean Dr. of Indigenous College in this campaign. Manish Sharma, Department President Dr. Students and staff including Subhash Chandra Verma participated.
The department is focused on planting trees that provide essential bee herbs for local bees. Plantation done at University model farm where 100 plants of bottle brush, peltforum and tuna ciliata were planted. The department aims to plant a total of 300 plants in the coming days, which will be dedicated care by the department so that more plants can survive.
