Today, the Himachal Pradesh Police paid homage to Shri Amrik Singh, former Director General of Police, Himachal Pradesh, during a solemn prayer ceremony held in Delhi. Shri Amrik Singh, a distinguished officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) 1962 Batch, left an indelible mark on the police service and the community through his exemplary leadership and dedication.
In tribute to Shri Singh’s remarkable contributions, a wreath was laid on behalf of the Director General of Police, Himachal Pradesh, and senior officers of the state in New Delhi today. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team also paid their respects by laying a wreath and offering prayers.
The Himachal Pradesh Police stand united in grief with the bereaved family of Shri Amrik Singh. His outstanding service, especially as Director General of Police from 7th September 1993 to 20th February 1995, has left an enduring legacy of commitment, integrity, and compassion.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family, and we pray that the Almighty grants them strength and peace during this challenging time. Shri Singh’s contributions to law enforcement and his dedication to public welfare will forever be cherished and serve as a source of inspiration for generations to come.
