Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released the publicity material of Himachal Pradesh Subtropical Horticulture, Irrigation and Value Addition Project (HP SHIVA) 2023-28 here today.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that 6000 hectare area will be developed in 400 horticulture clusters through 162 irrigation schemes in 28 development blocks of seven districts of the state under HP SHIVA project, which includes Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Solan, Sirmaur and Una. This project envisages achieving a target to benefit around 15000 framers-horticulturists families. He said that approximately 60 lakh fruits saplings will be planted under the project.
He urged people to utilize this project to maximum which would result in a progressive hike in their income.
Industries Minister, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Revenue Minister, Jagat Singh Negi, Education Minister, Rohit Thakur, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, Director Horticulture Sandeep Kadam, Project Director HP SHIVA Devender Thakur and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
