Snowfall has started on the high mountains of Himachal Pradesh. In Shimla, there has been intermittent light snowfall since 6 am. Fresh snow up to one inch has fallen in Kufri and Narkanda. The weather has remained bad since last night in most areas of the state. Light rain continues in the lower areas. Good rain has been continuing in Kangra since 4 am.The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of cold wave in 6 districts today. This warning has been given to Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Mandi, Solan and Sirmaur districts.
Light to moderate snowfall has been occurred in shimla jakhu,us club,Chharabra to Kufri – Fagu area. The snowfall is still continue road may slippery at present.Today there may be good snowfall on the high peaks of Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Kangra, Shimla, Kullu and Chamba. Western disturbance will weaken from 17 to 20 January. Light snowfall may occur in some areas of Chamba, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti for the next four days.
