Central Deputation Approved for Five-Year Term; DoP&T Directs Himachal Government to Immediately Relieve 2011-Batch Officer

In a key administrative movement at the Centre, Vivek Bhatia, a senior 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
The formal order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, from Kartavya Bhawan, New Delhi.
Five-Year Central Assignment
According to the official communication sent to the Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh, the Competent Authority approved Bhatia’s appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a tenure of five years from the date he assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The notification, signed by Ajit Kumar Ranjan, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, directs the state administration to relieve the officer immediately to enable him to take up his new posting in the Union Government.
