Accused Arrested
On 14/05/2025, the Special Detection Team of Himachal Police achieved a

significant breakthrough in its ongoing campaign against drug trafficking. While conducting a naka on the four-lane highway, the team attempted to stop a white Alto car speeding from Bilaspur towards Kiratpur.
On noticing the police, the driver did not stop and tried to flee. The team immediately gave chase. As the vehicle neared the RTO barrier, one of the occupants jumped out carrying an orange parcel and ran towards the nearby forest.
The police team responded swiftly, chased the suspect, and successfully apprehended him.Upon search, he was found in possession of 1 kg 84.5 grams of charas.Arrested Accused: Sandeep Singh (30 years), S/o Bahadur Singh, R/o House No. 72, SAS Nagar, Mohali (Chandigarh)
The accused has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered against him underthe ND&PS Act at Police Station Swarghat.Himachal Police will continue its firm and determined campaign against drug trafficking in the future as well.
