a heartfelt initiative to contribute towards society and save precious lives, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has announced the organization of a statewide Blood Donation Camp across all its hotel units on 27th July 2025.
The move comes as a continuation of HPTDC’s commitment to social responsibility. After launching a successful tree plantation drive earlier this year to combat the adverse effects of global warming, this latest initiative aims to address the ongoing shortage of blood in hospitals for surgeries, trauma care, and emergency treatments.
As per the circular issued by Managing Director Rajiv Kumar, hotel complexes under HPTDC are instructed to coordinate with local health institutions to ensure smooth organization of the camp. The effort not only promotes a life-saving act but also aims to build a culture of community participation and collective responsibility.
“Every drop counts. Every donor is a hero. Blood donation is a noble gesture that bridges the gap between life and death for many,” the circular emphasized.
Photos of the camps are to be shared via e-office and promoted on social media platforms for wider public engagement.
HPTDC continues to lead by example, proving that tourism and social service can walk hand in hand.
