Chief Minister to meet resident doctors at 9:45 AM; elective services may face shutdown
IBEX NEWS,shimla
In response to what it terms as injustice against a fellow doctor, the Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) has announced a one-day Mass Casual Leave (CL). The decision has been taken in view of the scheduled meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Minister at 9:45 AM on Wednesday.
The RDA stated that the move is aimed at seeking lawful and fair resolution of their demands. The association warned that if the issues remain unresolved even after the meeting, resident doctors will be compelled to intensify their protest by going on strike, leading to a complete shutdown of all elective services. However, emergency services will continue uninterrupted to ensure patient care.
The RDA has appealed to all resident doctors to extend full cooperation and maintain unity, stating that collective action is essential to secure justice and fair treatment.
