
MLA Anuradha Rana Strict Over Slow Road Restoration on Sumdo–Kaza–Gramphu Route, Warns Company

Lahaul–Spiti MLA Anuradha Rana on Saturday visited the Shinkula region to inspect the ongoing road restoration work from Losar to Batal. The work is currently being carried out by Garg & Sons, and the progress was found to be extremely slow.
MLA Rana said the delay in restoring this crucial route has become a serious problem for local residents and transportation in the region. She mentioned that the issue had already been raised prominently by her in the Assembly, yet the work has not picked up the expected pace.
During the inspection, she reviewed the ground situation along with administrative officials, senior officers of the Border Roads Organisation, party representatives, and local workers. Expressing strong dissatisfaction with the slow progress, she reprimanded the concerned company and directed them to immediately accelerate the work.

The MLA issued a clear warning that if negligence continues, strict action will be taken against Garg & Sons, and the company will have to face serious consequences.
Present on the occasion were the SDM of Kaza, District President Dorje Larje, Block President Dorje Chhering, TAC member Veer Bhagat, Sunny and Chewang, General Secretary Chatup Dorje, former Tribal Congress President Rahul, former General Secretary Lobzang, Secretary Tanu, and several other dignitaries.
